Description
From age 8+ – only 6 places available at The Functional Foodie Cookery School near St Mellion in S.E. Cornwall.
One of the biggest gifts you can give your child is the ability to cook economically, deliciously and confidently from scratch.
Jump In begins this term with 4 sessions that teach a range of skills, dishes and food knowledge, building into a comprehensive education over the term, and the year, in what and how to cook healthily and deliciously, for life. Nutrition and healthy eating are naturally part of the instruction.
Cakes & Bakes –
In this session, young chefs will learn simple breads and cakes that will enable them to produce a loaf, a flatbread, pizza base, and a cake, all of which are made with wholesome store cupboard ingredients, and which form the foundation of cooking real food from scratch for life.
Children will learn to make and decorate an easy sponge cake and a muffin, plus a loaf, flatbread and pizza base. They will learn about ingredients, healthy swaps, weighing, measuring, correct mixing skills, and how to know when bakes are ready.
